YOU WON'T WATCH THIS BUT YOU SHOULD

  1. It is quite sad how the media can influence things! But to me, the person can't be excused (depending on their mental state, of course). The media can influence all it wants, the person chooses themselves at the end of the day. Maybe it's not "politically correct" to say that, but I know of course that it is a different case for each individual person.

    Anyway, quite grim!

But yeah, about the shoes, I've had my eye on the Tophop one ;) That are cheaper! But not cheap :P

And just commenting on your other post, I too need to stop thinking my maths exam is months away! :|

  2. i agree that sometimes the media can exaggerate some killin which should be considered as a tragedy to be an infectious disease. it happens all the time in my country where dead bodies, injuries, and killing make up to every front page of the local newspapers just because they think people "like" to consume such news. basically, it's just repeating how human instinct can be engraved into what is considered as sardism. but the media really doesn't have to stir the brutality so repetitively.

  3. Serina: I completely agree. There is no way you can ever take the blame off the person who pulled the trigger, whatever mental state they may or may not have been in. But I do think that fact that every single time we ask "why" and there are people answering these questions & yet the media doesn't act responsibly enough about it. Even though they're in cumbria within hours and standing filming a body under a blanket asking "why here" "why him" and you just think...ah

andwhatelseisthere: it's like one big lord of the flies. it just seems like they're sadistically obsessed with the bad nature in some people rather than the fact that a lot of people do lovely beautiful things everyday.

    Phew.

  4. This story is horrible. Normally you hear about horrific shootings like this happening in some remote far off place but seeing as it was so close to home for me, and I was in Cumbria last week it makes it even more shocking you know?

And I LOVE Charlie Brooker, his Guardian column, You Have Been Watching and Newswipe are all genius.

Thanks for commenting back btw! Keep up the fab work on your zine and bring loud and proud about the feminism, I agree with you totally that you can dress well and still be a feminist. They are not mutually exclusive!
