Dear birthday fairies, I have found the most perfect ring in all the world. Ironically, it is shaped like a world and it opens to place special things like glitter & love letters in. Now unfortunately it costs almost £900 & I'm not even sure if you can get it in the UK. But I guess what I'm trying to say is either, you have 3 months to raise £900 to waste on a ring, or please may you send an equally perfect less "solid gold" more "gawdy costume" my way, or my friend/families way. Thank you. & PS, I always knew you existed.

Damn you Delfina Delettrez. You are beautiful & you make the most disgustingly perfect jewelry I may have ever seen, even if it's just through the internet. Imagine it in real life!? I think this will have to be assigned to the Pamela Love part of my brain of dream but never truly think about buying pieces. All this admiring of things I can never afford it getting out of control. On the upside I still haven't bought anything this year! Apart from a Kanye West CD, does that count?

I'm in such a good mood! A sleepless weekend, starting with feeling ill & wafting around work in a dressing gown like maxi cardigan, then reading an amazing book Death & the Penguin on the coach, a lovely lovely lovely surprise birthday party for the Jayster, followed by Sunday hangovers of boxsets & friends & a Monday getting breakfast, going to vintage/charity shops & then parting ways as he went on to see his dad & I came home for English. I just wish the overarching feeling of doing shit in my exams wasn't there but oh well.

How was your weekend?

So I was feeding my dirty eBay habit the other day when I came across the American Apparel's California Select shop, for the first time in a while. Now most of their stuff is looking a little tired, I guess it's the lack of money...or perhaps the snazzy new website. However, if not the garments themselves, it was these AMAZING photos that really caught my attention. Sorry for the shoddy blown images but, I am honestly, in love with this girl. Quite a lot. I love her Grace Jones/David Bowie esque stance & I've never seen anyone pull a robot in a fringe top with that much finesse.

Who is she?

Rocking the double florals last week after seeing the Winter Kate images on someone's blog. If it was you, please let me know! They've been floating around my find since, but I couldn't find the post again. Got these images from here. & weirdly it's modelled by the girl off ANTM, go her! Me & my mum (my ANTM watching partner) were rooting for her from the start of the series.

& on a very awesome note. EXAMS ARE OVER FOR ME. So, so happy to get to LAX (aka Life After Exams) without too much hysteria. Physics today went alright and even though my English exam didn't go as well as I'd hoped & I'm a bit bummed out about that, it's Jay's birthday this weekend & tomorrow me & Jesus are spending the whole day in the cinema. That's right. Black Swan, followed by Love & Other Drugs, followed (maybe) by The King's Speech. & I really wanted to see Ned's but that's on at a different cinema...
It's going to wipe out my montary funds but hey ho, I've been good not buying things all month so I deserve a treat. & it's usually by least favorite month of the year, & it's wishing away what promises to be an amazing weekend, but there's so much to look forward too now so...

Roll on February!

I won't write a huge long thing about the shows because my opinion doesn't really matter. I also have to start revising for my physics exam & shouldn't be looking at couture shows anyway but seriously? One thing I do have to say is that I think they have minions in my brain...because for about 3 weeks now I've been obsessed with low v-necks, & exposing the breast bone. I think it subconsciously sprang from my stylelikeu phase, but I can't remember from who. Anyway, long story short I found the perfect top to do it with & then lost it through slow reactions on eBay. So I'm in mourning. & this is just the icing on the cake with this is every single couture show. (Oh & PS no comments because I have a post for today already, but couldn't resist these...)

No fair.

When I am killing time on the internet, my heavenly head space resides in Opening Ceremony. I can't afford any of it of course, there's barely anything less than $100 but fashion is for dreamers, non? In an ideal world I would preferably like to purchase most of the Christopher Kane, Hussein Chalayan & Chloe Sevingny garments, because to be honest, how much easier would it be to be beautifully well-dressed & awesome in every way, if you had access to a wardrobe standard of Opening Ceremony?

A headspace doubly needed today as I had my English exam this morning. West ok...hopefully. I just wish it was last week when we did the mock. I was well ready then. Oh well, good luck to everyone else doing exams at the moment. And for now I hope you like the eye/head candy.

If only.
