So series 4 of skins starts tonight. I have mixed feelings on the show, mainly because I live in Bristol and a lot of the cast are people who I've known or run into. Taking it at face value though it is a great show. Although, the first cast will always be my skins cast.
I mean look how moodily series 2 was billed:
& they pretty much stuck with the dull grey lighting throughout.
This series is meant to be more upbeat but I don't know. There's something I just don't really like about most of the characters in season 3 & 4. I don't believe it.
Oh well they know I'll still watch it whatever & I guess that's all that matters.
Who do you prefer? Cast 1 or 2?
Cast 1!! I really love Skins and altough i didn't watch the entire second season Cassie and co. are my favourites.
ReplyDeleteThe original cast will always be the best. It's just got way too serious and contrived now, whereas it used to be about just normal teenagers. I think it may have something to do with the fact that it now has a much bigger budget, so they can afford to do more elaborate storylines, but the more recent storylines are just waay too dramatic. And I agree with you entirely about the whole being from Bristol and knowing the cast ruining it a bit thing.

ReplyDeletei never actually set out to watch skins, it always just happened to be on...but i prefer the first cast. i made a point of not watching it when it restarted with a new cast. maybe i'm just too old, haha.

I love Skins! I would have to say that I like the first cast best, mainly because of Tony's development through out, and Cassie's personality.

about series 3, i don't dislike it, let's say it's cool but will never be as cool as the 1st one
