Culottes from a vintage shop in Glasgow & jumper from the Scottish shop in Bath. Very fun shouldering old ladies out the way as things got frantic in the sale & they tutted at my short skirt.

New ring, new ring. I'm sorry M, I will do a ring post. I will I promise.

Apologies on the delay in postage. I went back to college last week & remembered how much I hate art lessons... It sounds wanky but I find it hard to be creative at allotted times 3 times a week. I've also been busy staring mournfully out of my bedroom window watching the rain destroy my flowers. Oh & also reading The Subversive Stitch & trying to consider my future education-or-not plans.

The future freaks me out.

PS. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A FREE COPY OF FESTIVAL ANNUAL PLEASE E-MAIL ME OR COMMENT ON THIS POST. I STILL HAVE COPIES TO GIVE AWAY!

PPS. It's my half birthday today. Woooooo! 18 1/2 exactly. How oddly observed of Mr Jay.

  1. Ahh I had like 3 comments from you! How nice.

I must say I do love the image of you shoving old women out of the way to many disapproving looks. But it was definitely worth it.

I remember the pains of Art lessons (not that I do those anymore, after I decided Art A Level would do me more harm than good and swapped it for Sociology - it made me sad that I had to do things I didn't want to do and I was finding it really difficult to get inspired and blah blah blah it made me sad). Teachers never seemed to believe me when I said that I did all my work at home..

I thought you were doing that competition-esque thing for the annuals? If not then I am definitely up for free stuff. Haha.

That ended up a bit longer than I'd imagined..

  2. Argh I need mustard clothes now! Love those rings as well.

Re: piercings. I count my ears as one but I never wear anything in there. Had snakebites, labret, nose on both sides, septum, nipple and bridge. Not all at once of course :P

  4. Love the rings photo. I never really wear rings since I find them too annoying and my fingers are a bit chunky. Hum.
There are some excellent cats around Bristol. My boyfriend and I went for a wander around Clifton a week or two ago and met a lovely one in Worcester Crescent (it's tiny and semi-circular). When Niall bent down to say hello this cat jumped onto his knees for a cuddle! I'm getting broody for a cat now...
I rather hated GCSE art for the majority of the time. I just got stuck in a rut and sat there staring at my sketchbook not knowing what to do. It was only when we got a project title that inspired me that I actually got into it. Conveniently just at the time I should've been revising for my other subjects...

  5. happy half birthday! you're so young! and don't worry, education-or-not will be a big question for the next, oh, 5 years or so. can't wait to try out art lessons myself, though, haha. i won't have excuses to NOT be creative, ugh.

ps. you do have quite an eye for color! amazing palettes you're working there!

  6. Violence in bus stops & the pale thin girl with eyes forlorn :-)

Great culottes! I'm loving mustard coloured stuff at the moment (including actual mustard: om nom), and that, the pink and turquoise together are just fab!
