Finally. If your gonna fight, fight for something. Proving stereotypes... Targeting the wrong people... Showing that if you call generations stupid they'll start acting like they are... Did it occur ironic to anyone else that The Smiths are the perfect soundtrack to this so called riot?
Anyway, I'm off up to London tomorrow to buy some pattern cutting supplies. Might stay on & uhr...loiter about Parliament on Thursday though. What do you guys think of this mess? I thought they were justified up to the people's housing & independent businesses. I mean the enemy is police, government & capitalism right? Or maybe this is the riot for capitalism. Anarchy for free stuff. Oh my, the debates we could have in our ivory tours... I sound like a dick. Time to bow out.

I completely agree with everything you and the coolest lady ever in that video have said. Though it really pisses me off how everything is put down to dickheads stealing stuff when there are quite clear underlying causes to it all. Do people not wonder why the fuck people are thinking it's necessary to act like this? Surely we should be more worried about that than a few stolen trainers. I do not agree with violence in any way but for the government to essentially just sit about and wait for it all to blow over is disgusting. It's that exact attitude that makes people angry enough to behave like this in the first place. Raaaant.

ReplyDeleteI'm actually disgusted by the things people have been coming out with, referring to the rioters as if they aren't people. We want people to act in a civilised manner yet people are expressing ancient, uncivilised views today in modern times.

Cameron is a pathetic excuse for a man. I wish more people would wake up, open their eyes and see that the tories are PURE EVIL. They know all of the facts, they know all of the social factors, but in the name of politics they ignore that and use it to their advantage.
Frustrating times, but seeing other people share my views has restored a little bit of faith in me (after the appalling coverage by the BBC).
i agree with this video - i think it's all made worse that it's a load of kids our age in the middle of the summer holidays with nothing better to do. it's the wrong way to make a point and the fact that nobody can quite put their finger on what their point is pretty much proves that whatever they're trying to do isn't working. that said, certain things do need to change. i just think there are better ways to be heard than to essentially cause other people to suffer the things that you are fighting against happening to you.
