Hello, hello. I'm back...did you miss me? Ok I know it's only been 11 days since my last post but I've been a pretty good little blogger recently so it felt like a loooong time!

I've been trying to fool myself into thinking it's still hot & swanning around in maxi dresses and big jumpers...wishing it was the 70s & making Mr Jay listen to Patti Smith. Hmm, I want some wide legged, high waist trousers...

It's also finally half term which gives me some time. This illusive phenomenon that I seem to spend a lot of time wasting, then chasing, then wasting. Agh... all the things I must do:

- Re-read Gatsby and Kite Runner
- Stop pretending my maths exam is months away
- Get issue 4 of SWEAT printed & up on the website
- Put stuff on eBay
- Put energy into lovely sane relationship
- Sort out money
- Sort out summer

We'll see how far I get next weekend...stay tuned. How's that for a cliff hanger? Aren't you ever so glad new followers that you chose this blog! Anywho my dears...

You know things are bad when your displacement activity is trying to start your personal statement... Maths revision = least inspiring thing. ever.

Jesus came over to try & cheer me up & took photos of my new candle obsession.

Saw loads of people on lookbook with the tba dress & it got kind of ruined for me. & I know, not paying £8 for socks is a little stingy but I got some (not the ones in the actual picture) from Marks & Spencer for £3! How can you argue with that?

& Lazy Oaf. Which I discovered when a friend send me a link to a Me & Zena ampersand bracelet (as I am a little freakishly obsessed with ampersands) They listed a shop on the street where I work as a stockist but after heading there in my lunch break yesterday I confessed that because they didn't stock the jewelry I'd "have to" buy it online. So I got me this gorgeous triangle thing because I couldn't make my mind up on the skulls until Jesus simply said "no" when I showed him them. Can't wait till it arrives!

Maybe it's weird to over think things so much...but I have this test where if I see something I like but that I don't think is good enough to buy on the spot. If I go away and can't stop thinking about it then it's worth it, if I can get on with my life then I didn't need it in the first place. Sounds reasonable right? Jay thinks it's autism...

Does anyone else do that?

OK enough marketing...there's too much rolling election coverage to watch. Got quite a few reactions from the red dress yesterday.

On the way to my physics exam a guy stopped me and said, "Where have you been all my life" but I just carried on walking because he was wearing a tracksuit &...you know. But cue my friends now doing that every time they see me. How. Very. Funny.

I also had a scowl-off with a girl wearing a green helmet with Green Party written all over it & flowers coming out of the top, as we both crossed the road in opposite directions. Would have been amazing if filmed in slow motion...

Anywho sorry people who don't live in the UK & don't care about the fact that Nick Clegg has no balls "Oh...you know...I guess I'd have to go with the Tories...because you know more people voted for them...& I don't want people to hate me....yeah I'll roll over for good ol' Dave" or that the Conservatives may get in, take away my/our human rights, take away public funding/jobs/education-for-people-who-really-fucking-need-it. Or that Gordon Brown hasn't said anything yet because he needed to have a little sleep.

The conservatives will widen the gap between rich and poor just like they did before. They're proposing to get rid of the Human Rights Act. Our human rights. Last time I checked, I liked my right to freedom, to a fair trial, to not be tortured, what the hell needs to change about that?

Lib Dems don't have enough for a majority, they're splitting the left wing vote and allowing the Tories to creep through. If it's tactics then do it locally, but nationally we can't afford to lose votes to a party that will roll over for the conservatives in the end.

Gordon Brown has held it together in the midst of all the shit that Blair left him to clean up. & more than that if we give him a chance I think he can do a hell of a lot better. If you need proof watch this. But hey, Bill Baily sums it up better:



Oh & Green Party, when a young girl comes up to you & appears to actually have read up on what you plan to do if she votes for you; don't just shove a leaflet in her face & look surprised. You lost me.

I feel kind of guilty about all this easy copying, it's kind of unsettling. But the truth is I would've bought it because of the pattern alone anytime before or after the miu miu infection, so I can just about justify it. I dunno, do you feel guilty buying obvious rip offs?

Spent the weekend trawling the city with Jay because I've infected him with my insomnia...

We found some hippies smoking around a maypole... An old guy who told us to get married... And a group of kids who asked us to buy them alcohol... Broken Britain?

AAAGGHHH the election. Conservatives get in just as I have to buy a house, go to uni, move abroad, actually live. I'm trying not to get depressed about it but I can't help it. It's inevitable... The masses voting to benefit the ones who already have the power, how does this happen?
