I've been mixing patterns like there's no tomorrow & Mr Jay knows how to use a camera, so sorry for the *ME* overload over the last few posts.

Here's an image that highlights just how much I obsess over things before I actually put the money where my hand is & giveaway the cash.

Saw loads of people on lookbook with the tba dress & it got kind of ruined for me. & I know, not paying £8 for socks is a little stingy but I got some (not the ones in the actual picture) from Marks & Spencer for £3! How can you argue with that?

More about those shoes later...but they are called Beauty & the Beast. How perfect?

& Lazy Oaf. Which I discovered when a friend send me a link to a Me & Zena ampersand bracelet (as I am a little freakishly obsessed with ampersands) They listed a shop on the street where I work as a stockist but after heading there in my lunch break yesterday I confessed that because they didn't stock the jewelry I'd "have to" buy it online. So I got me this gorgeous triangle thing because I couldn't make my mind up on the skulls until Jesus simply said "no" when I showed him them. Can't wait till it arrives!

Maybe
it's weird to over think things so much...but I have this test where if I see something I like but that I don't think is good enough to buy on the spot. If I go away and can't stop thinking about it then it's worth it, if I can get on with my life then I didn't need it in the first place. Sounds reasonable right? Jay thinks it's autism...

Does anyone else do that?

*Ok I realize people are liable to take the above the wrong way. Maybe I've been spending too much time on lookbook. But small size doesn't = style & I'm tired of being told so dammit!

  1. Yeah I do love the green one too :) I just need to see which suits my skin tone better. I'm hoping the fabric will still look nice when I see it.

And no worries about the election interest, carry on ranting about it all you want, I'll enjoy it! I love that you can talk about fashion but know alot about the elections too. I think it is too rare. People shouldn't be oblivious to the things going on in their country!
And you're right, it is very important!!

Anyway, love the urban outfitters dress, I've had my eye on it too. Just expensive :'( Looking forward to seeing the heels!

  2. TOTALLY AGREE with your last statement there! it's become my method for buying clothes lately, even if the garment in question is cheap (unless it's second hand, in which case i go "damn i could use this someday and if i pass it up i may never see it again". and still!)

  3. Loving the triangley-eye necklace and the shoooes! I am no longer allowed to buy things because all my money is going to be spent on interrailing. :( Though it will definitely be worth it. We're not going for a really long trip (grr no money).

I agree with the educating-stupid-16-year-olds thing, but I think if the voting age was lowered then eventually younger people would bother to look into these things. Hopefully..

  5. Wow that quote on the bottom of your post, "Just because you're skinny doesn't mean you know how to dress" really makes me stop and think about a few ppl i know! hahahaa

and I absolutely love that pyramid necklace you "actually bought." Great choice!!

  10. great mixing of prints there mrs :)the fact that you think things over before buying just shows you do put thought into it & don't just buy things willy-nilly (ha i love that term) or for the sake of it. i find that if i buy things on a whim i usually end up taking them back because i later realise i don't like it/doesn't suit me/doesn't combine with anything else in my wardrobe!
