Also my cat dress by zara, miu miu inspired AGAIN.
I feel kind of guilty about all this easy copying, it's kind of unsettling. But the truth is I would've bought it because of the pattern alone anytime before or after the miu miu infection, so I can just about justify it. I dunno, do you feel guilty buying obvious rip offs?

Spent the weekend trawling the city with Jay because I've infected him with my insomnia...
We found some hippies smoking around a maypole... An old guy who told us to get married... And a group of kids who asked us to buy them alcohol... Broken Britain?
AAAGGHHH the election. Conservatives get in just as I have to buy a house, go to uni, move abroad, actually live. I'm trying not to get depressed about it but I can't help it. It's inevitable... The masses voting to benefit the ones who already have the power, how does this happen?

well i know sort of who i want to vote for(on a national level), the the local leader is an utter tool. so i know how it feels. what a bag of crap.

ReplyDeleteOn a ligher note, great dress! Yes, i too would have bought it regardless of the current Miu Miu collection. Copies are inevitable & I don't think I feel too guilty seeing as I (& the vast majoirty of the population)can't afford to fork out over a grand for the real thing! (was coincidentally browsing the Miu Miu section on net a porter this am).

ohhh that dress has been making me think a lot.
ReplyDeleteon one hand, i've never been comfortable with such an obvious copy; on the other, the shape is what appeals to me and it's not like i'd be getting it BECAUSE it looks miu miu.
and THEN on one hand, that shape only seems to fit certain body types; on the other, i don't think the girl who i saw wearing it wore it "right".
AND THEN on one hand, the last few weeks i've seen bloggers rocking it up and down, i can't really compare; and on other, thank goodness none of those bloggers live in my town :D
